The use of digital health in order to diagnose the vast number of people with mild hypertension will only lead to health improvement through life styles changes. Increased drug treatment will simply lead to worse health.
The app is free to download, but will be ad-supported. Users can also opt in to allow the company to share information with researchers looking for clinical trial participants. Finally, Willowglade is developing a subscription-based, white-label version of the product that cancer centers can provide to their own patients.

I completely agree. Android device makers are rushing “health” features out as fast as they can in advance of the presumed iWatch presentation on september 9th. Another example is LG’s BMI calculator which advices everyone—regardless of body type—to adjust their weight to a BMI of 22.5.
So, Samsung, LG, and everyone else, please stop and think things through—or at least be sensible and consult a proficient medical doctor to help you sort through your mess.
The FDA clearance is for the whole system: the software, the earbuds, and the Apple devices themselves. This means Otoharmonics will need to get additional clearances if they want to develop future versions for Android or other platforms, or even for subsequent generations of Apple products.
